What is the best way to get around Los Cabos?
Any hotel or restaurant will be happy to call a taxi service for you. Uber is also widely available and very affordable.
How do I get from SJD airport to Hotel El Ganzo?
We recommend booking through Impala Cabo using this link. Local taxis are also available directly outside of baggage claim. For a cheaper option, make your way to the employee pick-up zone (exit upstairs through Departures and walk to your left) and order an Uber. Unfortunately, Uber is not currently available in the main pick-up zone.
Renting a Vehicle
You do not need a vehicle to get around Los Cabos as rideshare options and local taxi services are affordable and widely available. However, it can be fun to explore neighboring towns and villages in a rental vehicle. Hertz, Avis, Enterprise and many other options are available to you from the SJD airport. As springtime is a busy period in the region, we recommend booking your reservation online in advance.

What is the dress code for wedding events?
The ceremony and reception at Los Agaves will be Black Tie Optional.
We are still planning the welcome party but expect the dress code to be Beach Casual.
For the afterparty at Hotel El Ganzo, guests are encouraged to come however they would like. You can come straight from the reception in your formal attire, or feel free to make a pitstop in your room to change into something more comfortable.

Can I bring a guest to wedding events?
When you receive your formal wedding invitation it will be addressed directly to invitees and indicate whether your invitation includes an additional guest. We aim to be accommodating and ensure everyone has an enjoyable experience.
Are children invited?
We kindly ask that children do not attend the wedding ceremony or reception unless they are part of the wedding party.
It is also worth noting that Hotel El Ganzo is typically an adults-only resort. While your kids are welcome to join you for the duration of our hotel block (February 27 - March 2, 2025), the resort will retain its adults-only policy before and after those dates. Therefore, if you plan to extend your stay in Cabo and are traveling with children, you will want to consider alternative accommodation outside of these dates.
Hiring a Babysitter
For those traveling with children who are interested in hiring a nanny service, we will be sharing more details on our preferred vendor, Baja Babysitting, shortly. Baja Babysitting comes thoroughly vetted and highly recommended by local families and visitors alike, and all sitters are fluent in English and hold a current First Aid and CPR certification. Please stay tuned for more information.

Will events be held outside?
The ceremony and reception at Los Agaves will take place outdoors in a desert landscape. All walkways and common areas are paved.
Our welcome party venue is TBD but we are eager to take advantage of the beautiful weather and beaches. Should the event take place in the sand, we will make sure guests are aware ahead of time.
Will there be food options for dietary restrictions or preferences?
Yes, of course! We will be collecting entrée selections and dietary restrictions once invites are received. All events where food is provided will have options for vegetarian and celiac diets. Please reach out to us with any specific concerns.
Can I take photos during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that you help us keep our ceremony a phone-free event.

Safety in Cabo
The U.S. State Department considers Cabo a Level 2 travel destination, which is the same ranking as the UK, Italy, Belgium, and Belize. It’s also rated much safer than many U.S. tourist destinations due to the welcoming local community and proactive safety measures. Following basic safety practices and using common sense will be more than enough to ensure your stay is a safe one.
Can I drink the tap water in Cabo?
You should NOT drink unfiltered tap water in Mexico unless you are looking for a free colon cleanse. Though Mexico’s water is purified at the source, it may be contaminated during its distribution to your tap. This is why you’ll see locals buying water in bulk or installing home filtration systems. Tap water is fine for showering, washing up, brushing your teeth, etc., as long as you are careful not to swallow too much of the water. Alternatively, some tourists may prefer to brush their teeth using bottled water.
Hotel El Ganzo provides filtered water stations for guests on every floor, as well as a BPA-free, reusable bottle for refilling throughout your stay.

What documents do I need to travel to Mexico?
Nationals from the U.S. and Australia will need a valid passport to enter the country but do not require a visa. Once you arrive, you will be given an Official Entry Immigration Form (FMM), which is provided by your commercial airline or at the Mexican airport of entry. With these items you will make your way through security and meet with a Mexican immigration officer before you exit the airport.
Local Currency
The local currency is the Mexican Peso, though U.S. Dollars are often accepted in many tourist destinations. Most major credit cards can be used at all locations, though American Express is sometimes not accepted. If you prefer to carry cash, you can withdraw funds or exchange your U.S. dollars at one of Mexico’s National Banks.

Early March in Cabo is considered the start of peak season and guarantees sunny days with temperatures averaging 80°F / 26°C.
